josh's sendoff, PL FUNFAIR!

woke up very early today to send josh off. 5.45am. i slept at 3am. we'll miss you josh! come back soon for cell group. during breakfast we were all "planning" our trip to europe, was quite funny cos darryl talked about europe every 5 minutes. siao liao i have to bring bread to school everyday. but oh well, no harm dreaming about going to medieval castles, paris, the huge topshop... who knows, we may really make this trip. IF

went back to PL for the funfair!

yeah the last time we had a funfair, i was in sec 3, we were dancing some mermaid and seaweed dance in the hot sun... :) although it's different this time (and the stalls were in the shade), felt good to be back there as "old girls", literally. the lower sec girls were so cute and tiny, there was one girl who came up to jasmine and went "jiejie buy from me lah plsplspls, pls jiejie" maybe that's why it's better to get younger children to sell things. you can't bear to say no to them.

after 3 years, i still miss PL, still feels like home. :D

all the weird rules, staff, "girls i said stop running!", "unless you don't want to go home..."

sian face =/ everytime i want to go for a run, it rains. rained yesterday, rained today.
i'm tired. i woke up at 1+ but i'm tired. been revising soci chem and a bit of bio the past week. 5 modules but there's so much to cover, not to mention i haven't started on stats and geog.

since the rain has stopped and i don't feel like going jogging anymore, i'm going to feed you with photos of food from the jap buffet! :)

lastly, the cupcakes at marmalade pantry. they're so pretty, but i didn't get to eat them, and for that matter, anything on the menu because we saw the price and decided that we shouldn't eat there omg so embarrassing, so after sitting there for half an hour and using their toilet making them arrange the tables, we decided to get 2 pathetic cupcakes and one chocolate tart for takeaway. if i were the service staff i'd be so pissed off. hahaha wth, like that time we walked out of swensen's after they served us water. never going back to marmalade pantry in the near future.

i spent the last hour or so experimenting with photoshop. somebody stop me. it's more enticing than studying, definitely.

i also went to kuishin-bo for jap buffet lunch today and i have a shitload of photos but i'll stuff you with them the next time because i believe i should seriously cram in a bit of studying now before i sleep. buffets are bad, you stuff yourself till you are beyond stuffed. that buffet was my breakfast lunch dinner for the day, serious.

which means my energy expended during jogging on monday and whatever other day returned in the form of tempura, sushi, japanese desserts... :<

shopping, thai food, geog field trip

dinner on friday with my parents at patara, raffles city. food was not bad, the desserts are really cute because they came in small cups. plus it was free flow dessert. actually we went there with the intention of using a voucher, but we only found out when the bill came, that the voucher cannot be used with promotions, which included set meals, and we had ordered two set meals. so yeah we spent a bomb on dinner. and the previous sentence was a pretty long one.

dessert! red ruby, lemongrass creme brulee(culture fusion hahah soci) caramelised tapioca, grass jelly, longan drinks, yam cake, sago with coconut, sticky rice custard...
spring roll and crispy noodle, tomyam soup, some pork dish, vege, black olive rice, green curry with prawns

and the geog field trip today. very tiring. we were walking around from 830 to 4 pls, killer. i'm so tired now i'm having a headache. quite informative but when the prof talks, he can go on and on. visited the chinatown area, then down to city hall and lastly fort canning.

i like this photo because the shophouses are so colourful. and i think the architecture is really cool.

it's mid sem break already! i don't feel like 6 weeks have passed. i've barely been to school enough to warrant a break now. much i need it, we all need it. i have so much catching up to do this week, i don't think i can ever finish doing that but i'll just remain positive for now. didn't start off the sem too well (wrt tests) so i have to work x100ly hard. why can't i ever start my school year with better grades, really i'm so tired of getting below average grades since jc started. i sure hope i don't get numb to it, and hope that i'm not unconsciously numb to it because that will be big trouble. God give me good grades pleaseeeee.

since the field trip ended so late, i was late for ym also. topic was conversational apologetics but the speaker was focussing more on OUR faith. i have a lot to think about. i think i'm lazy to think. but i will. because i recognise the importance of thinking through this. anyway random thought while listening just now. these talks and discussions just put you in such a philosophical mood.

don't go round in circles, get to the point. but points are circles too, just really tiny and filled.
